Lindsey graduated from Salem State University with a major in dance in 2015; she was a Commonwealth Honors scholar and was a member of the National Dance Education Organization Honor Society. Lindsey has been dancing since her early childhood and is trained in all styles of dance; she is trained primarily under Deanna Carpenterri (J&D Dance Academy of Reading), Debi Cocco (J&D Dance Academy of Reading), Meghan McLyman (Salem State University), Caitlin Corbett (Salem State University), Sarah Swift (Salem State University), Nicole Pierce (Salem State University) and James Morrow (Salem State University). She has taken part in workshops and residencies from companies/programs such as Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, American College Dance Association, Dance Teachers’ Club of Boston, Jen Pollins, Peter Dimuro, and Mariah Maloney. She has formal dance training and education in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, lyrical, modern, contemporary, hip hop, composition, performance, pedagogy, dance production, dance theory/style, anatomy, and dance history.
Recent performance credits include: Kaleidoscope Dance Company's Prismatic (August 2019), Reading 375 Concert (June 2019), Salem Arts Festival (June 2018-19), Across The Ages Dance Project: Lineage (June 2019), Salem State University Alumni Concert (November 2018 & February 2017), Beverly Arts Festival (June 2018), Anthony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker (2012). She has extensive performance/choreographic experience from her time at Salem State with both Salem Dance Ensemble and Repertory Dance Theatre. She currently dances for Kaleidoscope Dance Company. She has been teaching dance and theatre since 2011 and continues to work for Five Star Theatre Program (Reading, MA), Venturing Theatricals (Reading, MA) and in the Reading Public Schools doing musical theatre choreography. Lindsey’s biggest passion is dance education and she looks forward to a lifelong journey of instilling a love of dance into her students.
Recent musical theatre choreography credits include Venturing Theatricals productions of The Drowsy Chaperone , The Addams Family, Anything Goes, & Frozen Jr.; Coolidge Middle School productions of Seussical, Anne of Green Gables, Alice in Wonderland Jr, Beauty & The Beast Jr., Honk Jr., & Freaky Friday; Reading Memorial High School’s production of Mary Poppins (assistant choreographer). She also created contemporary dance work for six different Salem Dance Ensemble concerts at Salem State University.
In addition to performance and composition work, Lindsey has completed various research endeavors in dance; she presented a well-received written work entitled “Eating Disorders in the Ballet Dance Community” at American College Dance Association’s 2014 New England conference and presented her honors thesis in dance, “The Sociology of Miley Cyrus” (a written work and dance performance) at the Salem State University 2015 Undergraduate Research Symposium. Lindsey continues to research and write about dance nutrition.
Erin earned her Bachelors degree in communications and media studies. She has 16 years of dance and theatre training and is an award winning hip-hop dancer. She has trained under Chris DiNicola ("Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew"), Trey Rich ("Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew"), Deanna Carpenterri (J&D Dance Academy), Debi Cocco (J&D Dance Academy), Jodi Richardson (J&D Dance Academy), and William Endslow (Reading Memorial High School). In addition to hip-hop, she is experienced in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, and lyrical. Erin is an accomplished actress; she has trained extensively throughout New England in theatre performance and acting for film and television. She has appeared on stage as leading roles in shows such as The Insanity of Mary Girard, Footloose, and Thoroughly Modern Millie, and has appeared in various commercial work.
We are excited for Erin to bring her hip-hop expertise and passion for theatre into Enchanted Dance Academy.
Kelsey Blanchette received most of her dance training from Dance Progressions of Derry, NH. There she had the opportunity to perform in the Plymouth State University Dance Gala, perform in local sporting events, as well as choreograph for local NH pageants. Kelsey graduated cum laude from Salem State University in 2017 receiving her Bachelors in Public Relations and Dance. During her time at Salem State she was an active dancer and choreographer in their two on campus ensembles. She is a member of the National Honor Society of Dance and has had her work represented in the New England American College Dance Festival of 2016 and 2017. She was also awarded the 2017 Creativity Award for dance, which is the highest honor in the arts at Salem State University. Kelsey currently performs for Kaleidoscope Dance Company and teaches at the BoSoma School of Dance and Enchanted Dance Academy.
Jackie Bowden is thrilled to be teaching at Enchanted Dance Academy. Jackie graduated from Salem State with a B.S in communications and a minor in dance. Jackie was an active member of the dance department as a choreographer and dancer, was awarded a grant to study dance in NYC and received the Creativity Award for her choreography. Jackie has been a dance instructor at the Salem and Beverly YMCAs, Studio 21 in Swampscott and has choreographed for Aurora Borealis Dance Company. Jackie has also coached cheerleading for many years both at the recreational and all-star levels. She recently co-founded an adult contemporary dance fusion performance group, Kaleidoscope Dance Company and is excited to see what its first year holds. Jackie is also a member of OnStage Dance Company's Repertory group, who performs throughout New England and beyond. In addition to teaching dance, Jackie is pursuing a career as a performer in acting and dance.
Nancy Katz Stone
Nancy has been a choreographer locally for over 20 years. Her work has been seen onstage with Reading Memorial High School, Parker Middle School, Coolidge Middle School, Dunn Middle School, Peabody High School, The Jewish Community Center of Peabody, and The North Shore Music Theatre’s Education Program. Having been a student of Zumba for about 4 years now, she decided to become a licensed instructor herself.
Nancy’s goal is to create a super fun atmosphere where all can feel comfortable and increase their confidence no matter what their dance ability. She hopes to help her students reach their goals by being a part of their weekly fitness routine. She is looking forward to getting started and hopes that all who join will have a blast!
Angelina is currently studying Spanish and Dance as a double major at Salem State University. She is an avid participant in the Salem Dance Ensemble as a choreographer, dancer, and Dance Program Associate. She also serves as President for a student-run organization, Repertory Dance Theatre, at SSU and teaches youth dance at a local YMCA. She currently dances for Kaleidoscope Dance Company.
